2. Feedback on accessibility
You can send us feedback on accessibility at any time at barrierefreiheit@1und1.de. Please note our privacy policy. In particular, you can report content that you believe is not accessible.
3. Applicable requirements according to BFSG
The accessibility requirements are derived from the BFSG and the BFSGV. The principle of two sensory channels applies to perception and operability. This operability is part of the four essential basic principles of accessibility:
Perceptibility: Information via two different sensory channels.
Operability: Interaction is possible despite “disabilities.”
Comprehensibility: Content is easy to read and understand for all people.
Robustness: Website is compatible with different web browsers and assistive technologies.
For telecommunications services, real-time text (RTT) must be provided within the limits specified in Section 16 BFSG in accordance with Section 14 BFSGV, and a full conversation service must be provided for video.
For further essential rights of a consumer, see in particular §§ 32, 33 BFSG. There is a right to mediation under § 34 BFSG. In particular, you can also give us feedback, section 2.
4. General description of the services
We provide telecommunications services and, in particular, telephony services. We describe these services on our website and provide contact information. You will also find privacy information and further information about our services.
We provide our services for a fee and with contracts offering a choice of different minimum terms. Our services are accessible within the meaning of the BFSG in accordance with the terms of this statement. Through our services, you can use many services from third-party providers who themselves provide assistance services for barrier-free use.
5. Description of accessibility compliance
Our website and our services comply with the requirements of the BFSG. We have carried out appropriate tests. These have shown that the basic principles and detailed obligations are fulfilled, unless exceptions are described below.
If you become aware of any barriers on our website or in our services that contravene the provisions of the BFSG, please notify us at barrierefreiheit@1und1.de. We will review your feedback and work continuously to improve our services and their accessibility.
5.1. Accessibility limitations
Non-accessible content: The content listed below is not or only partially accessible in accordance with WCAG 2.1 A and AA:
• PDF documents: Some of our PDF documents are not accessible. We are working to adapt them as quickly as possible or to provide accessible alternatives.
• Images without alternative text: Some images on the website do not have alternative text. We review and update this content on an ongoing basis.
• Some images still contain graphical text. We are working to resolve this on an ongoing basis.
• Screen reader capability: Some elements on our websites are not yet optimally accessible with screen readers. We are working to resolve this on an ongoing basis. The highest priority is being given to the most important areas for ordering, canceling, and contacting us.
• Keyboard usability: The focus order for individual elements is not yet optimal. We are working to resolve this issue on an ongoing basis.
• Forms: Some forms are not yet optimal in terms of input and error messages. We are working to resolve this issue on an ongoing basis.
• Size of clickable elements: Not all elements have the required minimum size yet. We are working to resolve this issue on an ongoing basis.
5.2. Real-time text for pure voice telecommunications services
According to Section 14 (1) No. 1 BFSG in conjunction with Section 14 BFSGV, telecommunications services that enable voice communication are required to provide real-time text (RTT) functionality. We support the transmission of data that users use within the scope of so-called Internet communication services (OTT services) for these services. As with the overall call service, this includes corresponding text functions. Interested users can therefore use voice services with the additional real-time text function via apps (OTT services) supported by our data communication.
If you need to make emergency calls without being able to understand or speak, please use other assistance functions (such as the Tess Relay service).
